Praying Through Pre-Adoption Day 29

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
~Jeremiah 29:11

I was brought to tears when I saw this video of Michaela DePrince, dancing ballet on Dancing with the Stars. Michaela was adopted from Africa at age 4 after her father was killed and her mother starved to death.

"I thought it was a dream, it took me forever to realize that this wasn't a dream that I was actually being accepted by someone." ~Michaela

Her adoptive parents said they knew she had a gift to dance at a young age. She is now 17 and a leading world class ballerina!

"No matter where you come from, or what you've been through, having a loving family, and support is all you need to achieve your goals."   ~Michaela

Please watch her beautiful story and dancing!

We want to pray big things for our children today. We are praying that they will be little world changers like Michaela. This could look like so many different things!

We pray they are given hope. We pray they are graced with an inspired future.

If in our growing family we can inspire one person, encourage one person, give to one person, etc., our prayers will be answered.

Prayer: Jesus, shower your blessings upon Michaela and all children who are orphans no more! Find homes for all the children who are still lonely without families. Give them all hope and a future. We pray big things for our family. Big things for our children. That we all may become ordinary heroes.

  1. Wow! Tears STREAMING down my face. Such a beautiful story ... that is the possibility in any child, no matter their circumstances!
"If in our growing family we can inspire one person, encourage one person, give to one person, etc., our prayers will be answered." I could not agree more.
