Coming Soon: Guest Post by My Husband

Hi!

I have a proposition for all of you! Colin, my husband, is going to be doing a guest post for me! So, I wanted to know if you have any questions for him related to infertility and wanting to be a father, being a police officer, being a husband, or anything you can think of! Please ask away!

I am so grateful he is willing to do this and share his story. Maybe I will even learn something from him. :)

Also, I think there will be a post from me coming up soon recapping my journey through infertility. Colin and I have had some serious and emotional discussions lately about how badly we want to be parents, and have decided to search out an RE, get reevaluated, and discuss possible options for treatments, while adoption still weighs heavily on my mind as well. Do you have any questions for me you want answered? Be curious!

As you may or may not have noticed, I've been at a standstill lately about how to proceed in life in general. I've felt lost with the infertility issues and career direction as well. Any prayers for direction and clarity would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Can't wait to see what Colin has to say! Here are my questions: What attracted you to your wife? What is your ideal date night? What's the best part of your job? If money wasn't an issue, what's the best present you would buy for your wife?

Prayers to you guys as you turn to God for direction. :)

  3. Lovely idea that your husband is doing a post :) This IF journey is so hard... such an emotional roller-coaster.... for both partners. Hope you find a RE that helps you in your baby dreams. Love always xoxo

  4. I think that is a great idea that Colin is doing a guest post! What fun! I think it is very hard on men in general because they don't have the outlets we have or as many people to talk to. How does Colin deal with this?

Sending prayers and love your way! xo

  7. I wish I could get my hubby to do a guest post- I think it's a lovely idea!!!

    Some questions for Colin,
    1) We all know men are fixers. How do you handle watching Jess suffer IF and not being able to "fix" it.
    2) Do you think your Faith has made dealing with IF harder or easier? (I ask because sometimes trusting seems harder, for me)
    3) What are your thoughts on medical intervention and God's will? I get confused on this one too.

Those are some tough questions, so I completely understand if he doesn't want to or can't answer all of them.

  9. I can't wait to read his post! I will be praying for you guys as you decide what to do. I know that was one of the toughest decisions for us, but we had prayed so hard and when we walked out of that RE's office, we knew that option was the end of the road for us.
