Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: "They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever."
~2 Corinthians 9:6-9
What stands out most for me in this passage is that God loves a cheerful giver.
I want to focus on intentionally having a cheerful heart while giving to others. I believe it is not just the gift that changes lives and touches souls, but the heart behind the gift. The joy behind the giving.
Giving of gifts.
Giving of my heart.
Giving of my time.
Giving of my talents.
Giving of forgiveness.
Giving of love.
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for the blessings You have gifted us with! Help us to share our gifts, heart, time, talents, forgiveness, and love with others. Help us to give with a joyful heart! Let us have compassion towards others--by trying to feel what they feel. Help us to bless people with the riches you have lavished upon us--both inside our souls and outside.
I really like this! xo
