To know God, is to know love.
To give love,
Even when it hurts and costs us something,
is to give God.
Happy Valentine's week everyone!
I have been so busy lately and have a lot of catching up to do reading all of your posts. What have I been up to? Let's see....
Friday: Got my hair cut. I got about 4 inches cut off, but it is still long. If I had a digital camera, I would post pictures. I drove to Spring Valley to see my parents. It was about a 3 hour drive. Colin worked, so I went alone and spent the night. They took me out to a 'fish fry', very popular in the midwest, especially on Friday's during Lent.
Saturday: Went shopping with my mother in Maplewood, MN. I got some cute stuff, but was hoping to see more color in the stores for spring. Was a bit disappointed, but will just have to go shopping again in a month or two! I drove back to Waupaca in the evening on some ICY roads. In a 90 mile span of highway I passed 19 car accidents/cars in the ditch. Scary. I drove slow and prayed.
Sunday: My 26th birthday! Colin and I went to church. In the afternoon, he took me out to eat in Appleton and then he took me to see....WICKED! This is a musical about the life of the wicked witch before the Wizard of Oz story. It was awesome. Very interesting take on the musical, funny, and great vocals.
Monday: Valentine's Day. We just had a quiet day in. Watched movies. Chilled. That's really all I need.
Today: Had orientation at Eden Meadows, the rehabilitation facility I just got hired at. I start shift training Wednesday-Friday.
I look forward to catching up with you all. Hope you had an amazing v-day/anti v-day if that's your style. Back to the quote at the top; It particularly struck me when I read it the first time. I think I need to be doing more of 'serving' my husband, especially when I am tired, busy, or cranky. Just little things, like back rubs, cooking him a favorite food, baking a pie, watching a 'boy' movie, going to a sports game, etc. Is there anything special you like to do for your significant other that just makes him melt?
You've been a very busy girl! I pray that you will make the right choice with the job situation! Hope you have an amazing week!
ReplyDeleteP.S. My hubby loves to play video games. Sometimes I join in, and that makes him so happy!
Praying the interview goes well tomorrow and the choice between the two is easy!! My husband likes when I rub his calves with my feet right when I get in bed...my feet are cold and get warmed up, and he gets a nice leg massage!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your road trip went safely, and that you had a good time with your mom. Happy belated birthday!! ♥
ReplyDeleteI asked my husband what "makes him melt" and he told me that 1)every day with me makes him melt (ah♥), and 2)that if I go make him food (yes, at 11:30pm) that would also make him melt :P
